Following the great interest in the original Story Symbol Pack, new sets of materials have now been developed for further books published by Walker Books. These books were chosen to suit slightly older children than the original Story Symbol pack, but should still be popular with young children. The full pack consists of:
- A paper symbol chart, called Choose a Story, allowing the child to select their preferred story book
- The six story books
- Six colour paper symbol topic charts or ‘story boards’, one for each book. These have been designed to fit a TechTalk communication aid, but can be used with other devices, or as a simple chart
- BIGmack Tops - for sticking on to the top of a BIGmack - for each story there is a page of 2 sets of 3 pictures
- A written guide to ways of using the materials with children
Apple Mac and PC disks with BoardMaker files for the charts are also available.
