What is the CALL Assessment & Support Service?
CALL’s Assessment & Support Service aims to give additional support to practitioners by assessing, jointly with their own local teams, people with complex needs who might benefit from technology.
We try for a flexible approach - for example, joint assessments with other specialist agencies (e.g. KEYCOMM); support at the implementation stage, or transition to next stage of technology; `distant´ assessments involving video material and discussion with staff teams, rather than direct contact with the child - as opposed to a traditional `medical model´ of `one-off´ assessment sessions.
