11th March, 2008 Sumerhill Centre, Aberdeen

12th March, 2008 Centrex Centre, Livingston

13th March, 2008 Menzies Hotel, Irvine

The CALL Centre is organising a series of free one-day exhibitions and demonstrations of hardware and software for pupils with additional support needs by a number of Britain's leading suppliers.

The focus of the days is primarily on the use of technology in education, but the equipment and software on display will also be of interest to many others. Suppliers will describe their key products in timetabled sessions and there will also be short presentations by CALL Centre staff and by local practitioners on how they use technology to aid inclusion.

In addition to the presentations by suppliers, there will be a series of short seminars presented by local teachers, therapists and other invited speakers on the use of different software and technology for pupils with additional support needs. These seminars are always popular.

CALL Centre staff will also be presenting short seminars. Topics have still to be confirmed but are likely to include How to Create an Accessible Digital Exam Paper; Use of Text-to-Speech Software to Support Pupils with Reading Dificulties; Making Books Accessible for All.

The exhibitions will be open from 9.00 am until 4.00 pm.
